How will International Freedom charges appear on my bill?

The rental charge for International Freedom will be under "Rental and other basic charges".

Inclusive calls will be in the "Your free calls" section.

Calls you have to pay for will be in the itemised calls section with the country name (if you've chosen individual call itemisation and the cost is above your threshold). Calls that are below your itemisation threshold will be included in the "Calls by destination summary".

What is the fair use policy?

By 'fair use' we mean normal and reasonable residential use. The product is not designed for business or commercial use or for customers making a very high number of international calls. International Freedom offers up to 600 minutes of inclusive calls a month.

How does the monthly allowance work if I get my bills every three months?

With International Freedom, if you're billed monthly you get an inclusive call allowance of 600 minutes from the date of each bill.

If you get a bill every three months you get three consecutive 600-minute monthly allowances, starting on the day of each bill. Each monthly allowance is separate, and you can't carry unused minutes over to the next month.

Where can I see how many International Freedom inclusive minutes I've used?

You can view your International Freedom usage online at www.bt.com/mybt.

When you're logged in, click on the View your recent usage button.

From the filter options choose "Free calls" and "To an international number". Then choose a date range to view the usage for the period you're interested in.

I already have Friends & Family International, should I change to International Freedom?

This depends on your individual international calling patterns. We have designed International Freedom so that all the countries included in Friends & Family International are also included in International Freedom. These are either inclusive countries or ones that we charge low pence per minute rates for.

Generally speaking, if you make a reasonable number of calls to the countries covered by International Freedom, you could be better off with this product rather than Friends & Family International. It's not possible to have both these products on the same account.
