Setting up your BT TV remote to control your TV
You can easily set up your BT TV remote to control your TV box and TV, so you can do things like change the volume and channel.
Make sure your TV is on, then use your BT TV remote to complete the steps below.
Find the right TV code
You can use TV codes to pair your remote with your TV, depending on the remote you have.
Find the right four-digit code for your TV brand from the code table shown - you may want to write it down as you'll need it later to set up.
If your brand of TV isn't shown here, you can find more codes on the TV code list.
Hold down the TV and TV AV buttons
Hold down the TV and TV AV buttons on your remote until the blue light flashes three times.
Enter the TV code
When the flashing stops on your remote, enter the four-digit code for your brand of TV. If the code works, the blue light will flash another three times.
Hold down the TV button
Point your remote at your TV and hold down the TV button until your TV turns off. This may take a minute – the blue light will blink while you're doing this.
Press the TV button
After your TV has turned off, press the TV button to turn it back on. With some TVs you’ll need to press the OK button on your remote instead.
Try the Volume buttons
Next try the Volume buttons to see if the remote is working. If it is, press OK. The blue light will then flash again and your remote will be programmed for your TV.
