The price you pay for your broadband, landline and mobile will be changing in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of inflation. The price increase for your broadband, mobile, and landline (including calls, features and plans), calls and mobile will be effective from 31 March 2020.
Even though some of our prices are increasing, if you only take landline services from us, we're reducing the price you pay for your line rental.
Standard Landline Pricing
- Calls to UK landlines and the Access Charge for calls to Service Numbers will change from 15p to 15.19p a minute.
- Calls to UK mobiles from your landline are going up from 18p to 18.23 a minute. (But if you have the Unlimited Anytime Calls plan, you'll pay half of the pence per minute price with a change from 9p to 9.11p a minute.)
- The set-up fee for calls will increase from 23p to 23.29p per call.
- International calls from your landline are increasing from 55p to 55.71p per minute for countries in Band A, 85p to 86.10p for Band B, 145p to and146.88p for Band C.

BT Mobile
If you have BT Broadband with your BT Mobile plan, and therefore get the £5 broadband discount, we’ll apply 1.3% CPI to the discounted monthly price you pay.
If you only have BT Mobile with us but not BT Broadband, it’s slightly different. We’ll work out the new price for your mobile plan by applying 1.3% CPI to the monthly price you pay minus £5, and then add that amount to your monthly price.
This is to make sure the price change is the same for all our mobile customers on the same plan.
As an example, this is how the price of a Mobile plan with a current base price of £18 per month will change.

Early Termination Charges: These may apply if you cancel during the minimum term of your contract and are payable for each month of the minimum term remaining after you cancel. We're increasing some of our Early Termination Charges from 31 March 2020. For more details visit bt.com/tariffguide.
You can find out more by visiting bt.com/ukcalling.
The legal stuff
From 17 January 2020, if you sign up to a new contract for a landline (including call charges, features and plans) the monthly price will increase every year from March 2020. If you sign up to a new contract for broadband or mobile the monthly price will increase every year from March 2021. That increase is based on the Consumer Price Index Rate of inflation which is published in January of each year.
If you have Home Phone Saver 2020 your package price will stay at £21.99 until 2021.
Got BT Plus? If your broadband plan started on or before 10 January 2019, and you’re still within your initial 18 months contract, then your first CPI increase won't take place until March 2021.
Other terms, prices and products, like BT TV and/or BT Sport, might also change during your contract.
*UK means calls to 01, 02 and 03 numbers excluding the Channel Islands, indirect access numbers and dial-up internet access. Other exclusions apply. Inclusive calls: calls up to an hour. Redial within 60 minutes to avoid charges.
See bt.com/personal/pricing. See our terms and conditions at bt.com/terms. Prices may change during the contract period.
If you have changed your broadband service in the last two weeks your new service and price may not yet be reflected above.
